A lifetime registered sex offender and former fugitive once featured on America’s Most Wanted, is currently serving in leadership roles at Grace Place Church of Christ in Duncanville, Texas, and as a part-time staffer with Watermark Community Church in Dallas.
Survivor advocate Amy Smith voiced concerns on social media, stating: “This is a dangerous predator. He should not have a position of leadership as a pastor. He was not being truthful about keeping away from children.”

They acknowledged his past offences but emphasised that he exclusively works with adults in their prison and recovery ministries.
“Mr. ____ does not serve on our staff in a pastoral role and is not involved in any ministry to minors,” the statement read.

While concerns persist about ____’s involvement in ministry, church leaders maintain that his transparency about his past and his commitment to recovery contribute positively to their adult-focused ministries.
They added: “Mr. ____’s past has disqualified him from ministering to minors, but it has not disqualified him from the grace of God or participation in the body of Christ through service to other adults.”
Amazing. The church actually stood up for him!

The last sex treatment provider I had while on deferred adjudication, an atheist and a person who believed in facts, stated more than once in group that a person on the registry is statistically less likely to re-offend than those who have never offended.
My favorite saying of his (which especially applies today) was “show me a preacher with two suits and I will show you a con man”.

The gent in question should sue the advocate too for defamation since no assessment was done by her to state her thoughts are true and ask for a public apology. A conviction doesn’t make one dangerous.

While on probation I entered into a contract with my PO and my mega-church to attend services at a specific time, park in a specific area, check in and out with security, sit in a specified area and not go into the children’s areas of the church. I willingly agreed and entered into that contract. When I finished probation, the church said congratulations, but their attorney said I must continue to abide by all of those rules to attend services. Too much risk of liability and concern from parents. They could learn from this church.
Praise God!!!!!!! Jesus has never rejected or will ever reject anyone who comes to Him.

So he’s playing the “only God can judge” card, but the whole congregation sure as hell is it seems.
If that preacher had any spine, he’d tell any church members that had “concerns” to find another church if they felt uncomfortable worshiping here. Man, what would have been met with gasps for sure.
Funny how they mentioned “America’s Most Wanted” which played a major factor in the brainwashing of America.and the vilification of anyone with a sex offense featured on that “tattle tale”show.
Walsh was most definitely projecting when he dropped those”sicko” “scum bag” and “dirt bag” pejoratives..
This guy ran away with his 15 year-old girlfriend when he was in his 30’s and got married to her when she turned 18. He served 7 years in prison for this “crime”. This happened 30 years ago. He wound up on AMW because they were desperate for a case. This man was never a threat to society. He simply thought he was in love and engaged in an inappropriate relationship.
I’m actually impressed that the church leadership didn’t just automatically “excommunicate” him, disavow him, and distance themselves and their church from anything having to do with him. 👍🏻
After all, that is certainly the very UN-Christian SOP we typically see 99% of the time. 🤷🏻♂️
I got kicked out of church 2 years ago almost after serving 6 years. They found out because i was speaking my life to a brother in a coffee shop were we met then he felt comfortable to tell the co pastor. The co pastor didn’t like the idea. He told me.to no come and if I wanted to to do church online. I’m not mad but I haven’t gone to church since. I like to serve i don’t like just going for the word. I wanna grow with the church too.
